Maine Bans texting while driving

Maine recently became the 33rd State in the country to ban texting while driving.  LD736 includes: sending electronic messages including texts, emails or instant messages from a mobile device while driving. The law goes into effect in September, and there is a minimum fine of $100.  In addition to the fine, violators could possibly see an increase in their auto insurance rates.
